WHAT SANCTIONS IN CASE OF NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAW?

Between November 2022 and March 2023, any motorist breaking the law (i.e. driving without suitable equipment) will be given a fixed fine of €135. This contravention of class 4 may be associated with loss of points on driving license or immobilization of the vehicle .

The regulations concern light vehicles, utility vehicles, motorhomes, heavy goods vehicles without trailers, buses and coaches. They must therefore be equipped with appropriate anti-slip and anti-slip devices.

Signs on the road indicate mountainous areas where the law must be applied during the snow season.
